New ‘Team Challenge Course’ proving to be big hit!

The newly designed ‘Team Challenge Course’ has been a great success with our groups.

Based on the ‘It’s a Knockout’ theme, students are placed into teams and work together to get a bucket of water across and obstacle course including balance beams; climbing net; rope swing and a mini zip-wire.

The course tests the student’s mental and physical agility – but most importantly their ability to work as team!

Dancing with Stars!

Stars dance instructor Carly Stanton has conducted her first dance sessions in our new dance studio.

The studio has been designed especially for our dancers, who come to Howells on activity courses designed specially to develop their skills and allow them to practice and play together as a group.

The studio comes complete with wooden sprung floor and mirrored wall, a perfect area for them to improve their moves!

Assistant Site Manager/Senior Instructor

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager/Senior Instructor who will work under an Operations Manager, and responsibilities will include: centre management; co-ordinate activity programmes; deliver activities and provide overnight care. Appropriate training will be conducted as required.

It’s all set up!

Having spent all last night setting it up, Keith and Gareth seem very proud of our new Aeroball!
A few lucky guests got to try it out this morning but we can’t wait to use it properly in our Stars activities sessions this year. It will live at our main Howells site in Denbighshire, where we have converted a room just for it! In the Summer and to make the most of the sunshine this weekend, it is also going to be moved outside.

After ordering our Aeroball set, all the way from the United States we can now announce its arrival in the UK! This combination of basketball and trampolining has been rapidly taking off in this country and we didn’t want to be left behind. Not long until its all set up and in action now, we hope you will be as excited about using it as we are!
