Howells School

At Howells School we offer different programmes throughout the year for all groups.

The Stars Howells Centre is situated at a secluded location, in the picturesque and historic market town of Denbigh, North Wales.
Denbigh is immersed in history, and the stunning 120 acre Howell’s estate is at the foot of the remains of Denbigh Castle, a 13th Century fortress, creating an atmospheric, unspoilt and ideal location for Residential Trips for Uk Schools and Community Groups.
Denbigh is located in the beautiful Vale of Clwyd, 40 minutes from Chester and approximately 1hr 30mins from Manchester and Liverpool. There are good road links with the M6, M56 and A55.

Sports and Activity Facilities

Large Sports Hall, Heated Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Hockey Pitch, Fencing Studio, Indoor Climbing and Abseiling Wall, Indoor Caving, Outdoor Archery Range, Low Ropes Course, Problem Solve Area, Team Challenge Course, Horse Riding.

350 Beds consisting of: Shared Dormitories 8 or 16, Single & Twin Rooms, Twin En-Suite Rooms.

Watersports Facilities

Stars have access to Bala Lake surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful scenery, within Snowdonia National Park. Bala Lake itself is 4 miles long by 1 mile wide and is popular for all sorts of water sports activities.
From this site we are able to offer raft-building, orienteering, canoeing, kayaking and
dinghy-sailing.
